Which theme is optimized in the site speed-up feature, original theme or copied theme?

The Site Speed-Up optimization is applied only to the duplicated (copied) theme created through the SEOWILL app.

Your original theme remains unchanged and serves as a backup. This approach is required by Shopify policy, which does not allow third-party apps to directly modify the active theme without explicit user action.

Keeping the original theme intact ensures that:

• You can restore your store quickly if any issues occur with the optimized (copied) theme.
• Our development team can compare the optimized theme with the original theme to diagnose and resolve potential issues more effectively.

This process helps maintain store stability while allowing you to safely test performance improvements.
